Anne Stahley

Hi, my name is Anne Stahley. I was born in Newport News, VA, but have spent most of my time living in a suburban city just south of Atlanta, GA. I graduated in 2008 from Clayton State University, a local university in Morrow, GA, where I majored in Biology with an emphasis in the environmental sciences field. Upon graduating, I began working as a Program Assistant for the Outreach Unit of GA DNR's Environmental Protection Division. I mainly helped train and certify citizens throughout the state on how to monitor the water quality in streams and other bodies of water that they wished to adopt and take care of. It was an unforgettable and rewarding experience to be able to interact with people from all walks of life that wanted to be environmentally proactive. Seeing the condition of impaired streams inspired me to become interested in restoration ecology. After working with the program for nearly two years, I decided to move out west to look for more field experience in restoration. I currently live in Glendale, Arizona which is in the Sonoran Desert. Gosh, it sure does get pretty hot out here in the summer! My hobbies are doing anything outdoors. I like to go exploring, camping , caving, kayaking, swimming and snorkeling etc. I'm excited to be a part of SCA. I can't wait to meet the crew, get awesome field restoration experience, and all the while experience the desert wilderness. See you all soon!
