Mesquite HS senior recognized for help with nature trails

Kendra Hodges, a Mesquite High School senior, has spent a lot of time on the city's nature trails.

She and other students with her high school Student Conservation Association have worked to build and maintain the trails.

And the work has paid off with nicer trails for residents and an award for Kendra.

She was one of 50 students from North Texas honored for her volunteer work with a Prudential Spirit of Community Award.
