Museum Intern
Grey Towers is located in Milford, Pike County, on the eastern slope of the Pocono Mountain range of northeastern Pennsylvania. It is approximately 10 miles southwest of the point where the state boundaries of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York meet, situated on 102 acres overlooking the Delaware River Valley and Kittatinny Mountains.
Your responsibilities will include: assist with various collection care tasks such as museum registration, cataloguing, inventorying, photographing, rehousing of historic photos and documents in archival materials, data entry of collections information, and creating exhibits related to Pinchot family interests, (75%); provide historic housekeeping and minor conservation of artifacts such as documents, paintings, sculpture, books and furniture, (15%); assist with public tours of house and gardens, (10%). Your office will be in a historic house setting as well as in off-site storage buildings.
