Dale PennyDale M. Penny

President and Chief Executive Officer

Dale was formerly President and Chief Operating Officer of Up With People, an international education and community service program, and he was the Senior Program Director of the Colorado Boys Ranch Foundation. He received his B.S. Degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Mark Bodin

Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer

Mark joined SCA in 1994.  He was formerly Vice President and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Prentice Hall Legal and Financial Services, a division of Simon & Schuster Publishing.  He also served as Business Manager and Director of Operations at Prentice Hall Corporate Services, Internal Audit Supervisor at Paramount Communications, and Senior Accountant at Deloitte and Touche.  He received his B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Albany.

Valerie J. Bailey

Executive Vice President for External Affairs

Valerie has over 25 years of experience with SCA and has been a member of the management team for the past twelve years.   She was Acting President in 1997 and 1998. In 2000, Valerie stepped away from SCA for several months to provide organizational development assistance to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.  She returned in December 2000 to lead the implementation of SCA Pittsburgh Regional Office which provides services throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.  In 2002, Valerie returned to SCA’s National Headquarters to assume the role of Executive Vice President for External Relations.

Richard J. Seaman

Chief Financial Officer

Richard was formerly Chief Financial Officer, Teleknowledge; Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Independent Bank Corp/Rockland Trust Company ($2b Boston area commercial bank); Principal, Danielson Associates (troubled bank turnaround specialists); SVP Corporate Development; James Madison Limited (1.5b Washington, DC commercial bank); Furash & Co.; Morgan Stanley; Arthur Anderson.  MBA, Amos Tuck School, Dartmouth College; B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Tufts University.
