Interpretation/Education Intern

Categories:

Calaveras Big Trees State Park is located in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California at about 4700 feet in elevation. The park's most distinctive feature is two groves of giant sequoias--the world's largest trees. The park also has two large campgrounds, a fork of the Stanislaus River, three creeks and many trails.

Intern will work with park staff to interpret the giant sequoias and other park features to visitors of all ages.  Intern will research, develop and present interpretive programs including a giant sequoia walk, campfire program and children's programs including Junior Rangers and Junior Cubs. There may be opportunities to assist park staff in other aspects of park management.  Intern will also complete a required relevant project..
