At Minute Man National Historical Park the opening battle of the Revolution is brought to life as visitors explore the battlefields and structures and witness the American Revolutionary spirit through the writings of the Concord authors.EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES: Concord is 20 miles from Boston, Massachusetts which has numerous museums, libraries and other historic sites to see

You will give formal interpretive talks at the North Bridge (20%), present  living history interpretation of colonial characters with various occupations and economic status based on your research and learning about aspects of 18th century lviing, crafts, economics, social customs, and military skills. Living history will include historic weapons demonstations as part of formal interpretive presentations at Hartwell Tavern (40%), staff information and sales desks and provide visitor orientation (20%)  and you will also provide roving contacts (10%). This position is not eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award.

Required Skills: 
US citizenship; valid driver`s license; ability and willingness to undergo a required criminal history background check; ability to communicate with the public; academic major in American history or studies, Park and Recreation Management, interpretation
