Historic Preservation/Maintenance Intern

You will provide assistance to park staff in the stabilization of historic ruins, perform a variety landscaping task on historic grounds, assist with the operation needs of both visitor use areas and staff areas at Kingley Plantation, assist with logistics for various events held at the park, and provide maintenance of both historic and non-historic structures.You will conduct trail clearing and beach clean-up, staff the visitor center contact station and disseminate literature and other information to park visitors, archive photographic media and other collections material, and assist with additional facility management field projects as needed. EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES: The Jacksonville area offers opportunities for a wide range of interests. The park itself has a wealth of both natural and cultural resources. You will be able to explore the historic sites as well as the hiking trails and waterways in park provided kayaks.
