Green Mountain Trail Team

Contribute to the team's efforts in analyzing, planning, and completing various projects. Projects will include: 1.Contact with outfitters and guides in the backcountry along the AT and Long Trail in south central VT. Members would be talking with hikers, checking permits, educating on LNT, etc. General public outreach on weekends, go into high use areas also do some campsite restoration – stay overnight. 2.Invasive species two components: a.Eradication - manual pulling only, team will not be using herbicides. b.Inventory & Monitoring. 3.Brushing and clearing of Wilderness Trails 4.Boundary monitoring, encroachment issues, assessing, documenting and mapping.Teamwork will be a key to success and the days will be physically and emotionally demanding
