 Beth McCarthy received her BA in History with an Education sequence from St Bonaventure University, NY. Upon graduating, Beth participated in three SCA internships: historic interpretation in Death Valley National Park, CA; recruiting internship in the main SCA office, NH; and interpretation in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, OH. She has also lived and worked in Yellowstone National Park and the Adirondacks of NY. This is Beth’s second year as the Great Lakes Recruiter, and she is super excited to be back on the road, sharing her story and recruiting for SCA! Beth is an avid traveler, reader of books, dancer, and talker, mostly about SCA, 80s music, or trivia. I attended the Adventure Summitt in Ohio and the keynote speaker was gold medalist Jonny Moseley. He was really nice and let me take a picture at the meet and greet afterwards. Too bad, ladies-he's married!
