Welcome to SCA's Firemon Program
This is the homepage of the Student Conservation Association’s FIREMON Program. The SCA works to fulfill the wildland fire monitoring needs of our partners through fielding trained teams to collect FIREMON data.
For more information about FIREMON click here.
Here we post a great deal of troubleshooting information about completing FIREMON data collection in the field. You will find a large amount of resources, field guides, and technical documents to help you in your FIREMON efforts. This is also the location to download FSCAR which is our PDA application that allows users to collect FIREMON data in the field using a GPS enabled hand held device. We hope that this resource serves you well and are happy to help in any way we can!
Our site is consistently updated so please check back from time to time to see what's new.
FIREMON Trainings and Events
Note: The workshops below are for the general public, not SCA field staff. Project Leader training is held each year in the spring and intern training is held in May/June. Please see the FAQ page for details.
