Join SCA as we gather to ConSERVE NYC this MLK Day by mobilizing the next generation of community stewards to help restore our public lands. 

With the support of American Express, we will be bringing hundreds of volunteers together to restore Morningside Park by combatting invasive species and soil erosion. Join us to honor the legacy of Dr. King while helping to improve this important community green space in Harlem.

SCA is mobilizing volunteers coast to coast in celebration of the MLK Day of Service. Join us as we serve the Bay Area’s Parks!

WHEN: Saturday, January 14th, 9:30am - 1:30pm

WHERE: San Francisco, CA - exact location to be announced in December

PROVIDED: SCA will provide coffee, lunch, and snacks for all volunteers, as well as project materials, gloves, and free t-shirts!

Seattle: SCA Service Event at Maplewood Playfield

Join the Student Conservation AssociationGreen Seattle, and SCA’s Conservation Leadership Corps Old Faithful Team for a restoration work party at SCA’s adopted plot at Maplewood Playfield. Volunteers will be continuing conservation work completed by SCA’s Seattle Community Crews this summer, working to remove invasives, plant native species, and improve the park’s natural habitat.

Washington, DC: BioBlitz Biodiversity Festival on the National Mall

Join SCA on the National Mall in Washington, DC as we celebrate biodiversity, science, and the outdoors during the 2016 BioBlitz Biodiversity Festival. As part of the festival SCA will host an interactive booth which will include family-friendly hands-on education and service opportunities, National Parks trivia, and a National Park-themed photo booth.
