Your main responsibility will be coordinating and developing an environmental education plan for New River. New River is an ACEC (Area of Critical Environmental Concern) with unique dune habitats, lakes, walking trails, river and miles of ocean beaches. You will also have a variety of projects including: keeping visitor center and restrooms clean, counting visitors, taking bird surveys, walking the beach to monitor Snowy Plovers, kayaking to remote beach campsite and hiking trails, and providing several miles of trail maintenance.
