Amtrak

As part of its commitment to be a transportation leader on environmental issues and educate Americans about the environmental benefits of riding the rails, Amtrak has partnered with the SCA to help high school and college students from across the country gain real hands-on experience preserving environmentally sensitive habitats and public lands such as Yosemite National Park in California. Amtrak is also a sponsor SCA's Community Conservation Crews in Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Milwaukee, Newark, Philadelphia, San Francisco/Oakland Bay area and Washington, D.C. The program provides environmental education, leadership training, and much-needed jobs to high school youth from diverse backgrounds.
