As a layman, I have been very concerned about the obvious signs for years. I have some hope the renewed activity in enviromental matters may save life on Earth.

The Crisis Coalition is a group of scholars and professionals. We have created www.planetextinction.com to consolidate the key global information onto one place.

The new understanding of the 12 key tipping points that makes these issues so urgent is discussed in detail.

I realise you know it is scary. There is a 10% possibility that we have only 8 or 10 years - and virtually a 100% certainty within a century - that we will pass one or more tipping points.

There is nothing in the current scientific evidence to suggest that we and our children wont have to deal with 20 metre sea-rise and perpetual drought, and with that billions of refugees and war. We need to prepare, to plan and to innovate.

As many reports have noted, if we start now we can have the same standard of living in 50 years time, or even better. If we shilly-shally for even five years the costs escalate horrendously and the outcomes are more fearsome.

The site includes a host of ways you can personally build a sustainable lifestyle – and what government needs to do.

Please check out this information and subscribe to our newsletter for where we can network.
