Mikana is excited to be working with the Kingsley Association in the neighborhood of Larimer. With a background in landscape architecture, she is looking forward to developing her project management skills to accommodate the spontaneous nature of non-profits working in sustainable community development. Her experiences in rural and urban communities, domestic and abroad have inspired her to define what sustainability is to her, while practicing and learning from others. She has personally planted hundreds of trees, big and small, for stream buffers, on city streets and in parks. Her focus now is rain water harvesting, urban agriculture and collaborating with others. Her mission to improve the relationship between people and the natural environment starts with her objective to improve the relationship we (people) have with each other.
