SCA launched its first conservation commencement on August 12, 2005 at SCA’s headquarters in New Hampshire. The conservation commencement is a moment at the end of SCA’s traditional summer field season to thank our volunteers members for their service, to recognize our agency partners, to reflect on the value and impact of the conservation work accomplished, and to consider how we might all better live an ethic of conservation.
In 2005, we were honored to have renowned naturalist, author and educator, Scott Russell Sanders. These flash video clips include excerpts from his speech, plus words from SCA’s president Dale Penny, SCA founder Liz Titus Putnam, and SCA volunteer Morgan Fessler. The clips should download quickly and sound and look great. Let us know if they don’t. We’re planning to bring lots more multimedia online to the site, maybe even host a video blog. If you have video clips you would like to share on conservation related topics, send us the link and we'll post it.
