Located just two and a half hours southeast of Seattle, Mount Rainier's glacier-covered
volcanic cone is the icon of the Pacific Northwest. Nearly two million people come to
enjoy the grandeur and wild beauty of the park each year.
You will recruit, train, organize and lead Volunteer-In-Park volunteers in conducting surveys of amphibians according to protocols established by the Mount Rainier National Park Biologist. You will enter data into an established database, encourage citizen participation in park science through active participation in field data collection, and provide important data to the NPS on the distribution and relative abundance of amphibian species inhabiting aquatic or riparian environments within Mount Rainier National Park.
