SCA has no higher priority than the safety of our participants.
- Crew Members submit a Medical Health History & Physician Form in order to apply.
- Crew Members must then complete a medical screening process and be cleared to participate.
- Emergency Response Plans are set forth for every crew worksite & basecamp.
- Crew Leaders must complete an extensive application and training process.
- Crew Leaders must also pass a criminal & driving background check.
- Crew Leaders are trained extensively with the latest in risk management protocols.
- An SCA Duty Officer is always on call so that we can respond to any type of emergency situation with the utmost care, diligence, and attention to the safety of our members.
Of course, every visitor to a national park, forest or other natural area incurs certain risks and SCA participants are no exception. Whether posed by the elements, the terrain, the wildlife, or the work, these risks are inherent to our programs. Although SCA cannot eliminate these risks, we maintain a constant commitment to learning and practicing safe work habits for our members and staff.
In the event of a family emergency, please call our main office in NH (603)543-1700. If it is after hours, you will be prompted to the Duty Officer on call.
