Your duties will include:- Assisting in botanical surveys for Threatened, Endangered, and Sensitive plant species and noxious weeds throughout the Modoc National Forest.- Identification of plants to species using dichotomous keys in the Jepson Manual of California flora- Completion of survey and species documentation forms for rare plant and noxious weed occurrences- Work as a rotating member of the noxious weed treatment crew for the manual treatment of weeds.- Working safely and efficiently in the outdoors.

Required Skills: 
Ability and willingness to undergo a required criminal history background check; completed course work in plant taxonomy and/or systematics; proficient with use of dichotomous plant keys to identify plants to species.
