Timberland Boots will see SCA Dallas crews through the summer!

SCA Dallas Crews will be hitting the parks this summer with new Timberland boots! Timberland donated all 21 pairs of boots to our crew members as well as 200 pairs to other SCA youth programs in Jacksonville, FL, Boston, MA, Stamford, CT and Boston, MA. As nearly 2,000 youth enter the field this summer, all crew members are required to wear leather boots and other safety gear while working in the field. On behalf of everyone at SCA, a huge thanks to Timberland!

Where we will work
One of our two crews will build a 12 mile single-track bike trail through the great Trinity Forest. The Trinity Forest is one of the largest urban, bottomland, hardwood forests in the country and a treasure worth preserving. Our crews will also assist in the preservation of the forest by removing the invasive shrub, Privet. If allowed free-range Privet can take over the floor of the forest, choking out native species.
