Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve in Jacksonville, Florida
Conduct field inventory, mapping and control (manual, mechanical and chemical) of invasive exotic plants at the preserve in a variety of terrain and conditions - 70%; enter data into APCAM (Alien Plant Control and Management) database -10% and maintain field equipment, 20%; Training will include: Global Position System (GPS); Geographical Information Systems (GIS); plant identification and control techniques including safe herbicide use and operation of field equipment; map and compass; first aid; CPR; Wildland Fire Fighter (if available) and Wildland Sawyer training. Valid driver’s license required.
