SCA is turning 50!
Come join us for the 1st SCA Bear Brook All-Alumni GatheringWhen: September 28, 29, and 30th, 2007
Where: Spruce Pond Camp, Bear Brook State Park, NH
Why: To gather together the alumni and staff of the SCA NH Parks AmeriCorps and the SCA NH Conservation Corps for 3 days of celebration, reconnection, service and fun! Help SCA celebrate our 50th!
The Details
- Families, spouses and children welcome and encouraged to attend! No pets.
- SCA will provide all meals and accommodations. BYOB.
- Housing will be in rustic cabins. Some have heat, some don't. Plenty of camping available down by the pond as well.
- The weekend will consist of some structured events along with plenty of time for reconnection and time with your old crew. We’ll also host some small service projects to help improve your old home, Spruce Pond Camp.
- Feel free to stay for an extra day or two! Meals will be on your own after the 30th, but we can provide a cabin for you until Tuesday, October 2nd.
Friday, September 28
- 3pm: Arrive at Bear Brook and get settled into your cabin.
- 5pm: Welcome and logistics from Ethan
- 5:15pm: Dinner, happy hour, festivities (award presentation)
- 6:30pm: Kickoff and welcome!

- Future of SCA -- Mark Bodin, SCA Chief Operating Officer
- The Beginnings of SCA -- Liz Titus Putnam, SCA Founder
- Slideshow -- Ethan Hipple and Tim Albers
Saturday, September 29
- 8am: Breakfast
- 9am: Camp service projects around Spruce Pond Camp
- 1pm: Free time--Hikes, swimming, boating, etc…
- 6pm: Dinner
- 8pm: Contra Dance, Talent Show, etc…
Sunday, September 30
- 9am: Breakfast
- 10am: All-Corps Games (cross-cut saw, log rolling, tug-o-war)
- 12pm: Closing circle and lunch
