The Klamath National Forest includes 1.7 million acres of spectacular scenery including steep mountainous terrain, pristine rivers and remote lakes. The Forest includes portions of 5 wilderness areas: Siskiyou, Marble Mountain, Russian, Trinity Alps and Red Buttes. Position will be based in Fort Jones, CA. The town of Fort Jones is located in the Scott River Valley in Northern California. Fort Jones is a small community of approximately 600 people. Yreka is the nearest full-service community, which is about 20 minutes from Fort Jones.

Perform hiker and equestrian trail maintenance as part of the trail crew; remove down logs; perform trail tread maintenance; clear brush, maintain water bars, and construct retaining walls or drainage structures. Work is completed with traditional tools and techniques.
