You will conduct compliance inspections for suction dredge miners along the Fortymile Wild and Scenic River, prepare sketch maps and field notes, in the field on extended backcountry trips in remote areas (60%). You will also prepare written reports, update the Station's database, and catalog photographs in the office (40%).Housing is in really nice govenment quarters while in Fairbanks. When in the field you will be in a tent or rustic cabin in the backcountry for up to 8 days.
