Can I participate in SCA again?

Definitely! We encourage all of our alumni to apply again. We give alumni preferential treatment, working hard to get them placed in another SCA internship or crew opportunity. We have even had alumni serve 5 and 6 times, consecutively!

How can I find a job in conservation?

SCA has a jobs bulletin board for conservation opportunities both with SCA and with other nonprofit organizations and public agencies.

How can I stay involved with SCA beyond my service?

Alumni Ambassadors

You can volunteer as an Alumni Ambassador. Alumni Ambassadors help promote SCA, so that other students hear about and participate in our programs. They hang posters in schools or talk to people who are thinking about applying and who have questions. And more.

SCA's Online Community

We often hear from alumni that they are interested in connecting with the thousands of other people who love the great outdoors, who want to do their part to save the planet and who have experienced the power of conservation service. Well, now there is a way! Join us on SCA’s online community at jointhesca.org, a social networking site for people connected to SCA.

Post photos, videos and blogs about your SCA service, and your latest adventures in conservation. We want to hear what you’ve been up to!
Join or start groups that connect you with others across the country who share your love of the great outdoors.
Join or start online forum discussions and live chat sessions to learn how to leverage your experience, take the next step in your career, or simply find new friends.
Search and connect with SCA members, staff, and future members. This is a great way to expand your professional and personal contacts. Traveling somewhere new? Look to see what SCA members and alumni are up to in the area or invite others to your events.
