This year's Conservation Commencement address was August 8th at SCA's national headquarters in Charlestown, NH, delivered by SCA alumnus, writer, conservationist, and photographer, Stephen Trimble.
Trimble has published twenty books, including co-compiling (with Terry Tempest Williams) a landmark effort by writers hoping to sway public policy: Testimony: Writers of the West Speak on Behalf of Utah Wilderness.
Trimble's bedrock focus is the land — western wildlands and natural history — and he has received significant awards for his photography, his non-fiction, and his fiction. Read Stephen Trimble's biography. (PDF format)
