The DC office has been busy with spring hanging in the air like cherry blossoms over the tidal basin.
Many people have been in and out on business trips, taking
them anywhere from New Hampshire to Atlanta to Phoenix, and interviews
for Summer Crew Leaders are underway. We have a new face in the
form of Megan, our new alumni relations intern, who will be
systematically contacting over 1,000 alumni in the area over the next
few weeks. Many high school classes have been participating in
hikes and service projects in the vicinity, which is helping us recruit
for summer trail crews. And the Conservation Leadership Corps
(CLC) students are embarking on their weekend trips. In addition,
Amtchat’s Ceasar Chavez Public Charter School Community Action Plan
(CAP) students are in the process of surveying local teachers about
their thoughts on environmental education. And we are
all gearing up for the upcoming April service projects!
