DC Summer Crews

Are you interested in working outdoors this summer? The Student Conservation Association in DC offers a unique summer program for high school students interested in working outdoors in a local National Park

As an SCA Crew Member you will:

  • Develop conservation and restoration skills by participating in hands-on projects in DC area National Parks
  • Be apart of a team with other students developing leadership skills Complete valuable work projects in Parks to improve the natural and historical resources of the DC region
  • Go on weekly environmental field trips and a 4-day camping trip
  • EARN $1000
  • Have fun!

When?

The six-week SCA DC Conservation Crew Program runs June 23rd - August 1st 2008. Participants work Monday-Friday 8 hours a day. Transportation from MetroRail Stations to work sites is provided.

Who?

Students ages 15-18yrs, enrolled in High School, including 2008 graduates who want to spend the summer working outside participating in physical hands-on conservation projects.
