Program Director, NH Conservation Corps, Allenstown NH

The Student Conservation Association (SCA), a national force of conservation volunteers, has an exciting opportunity to Lead a historically successful, residential program based at Bear Brook State Park! We are seeking a Program Director for the New Hampshire Conservtion Corps program, located in Allenstown, NH.

The Program Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the SCA Residential AmeriCorps Program. This includes management of a staff of 3-5 and a Corps of 30 members, overseeing program development and implementation, evaluation, risk assessment and management, budget management, logistical coordination, field program and school coordinator support, and technical support. The Director is also responsible for ensuring the stated objectives of the program are met and evaluated and that the program is in compliance with all SCA, and AmeriCorps requirements.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Environmental Education/Science or related field
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience in an outdoor/conservation service program
  • 4+ years of grant writing and partnership development experience
  • Community organizing skills and strong capacity to work in a team
  • Proven supervisory, organizational, and program development skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective computer and Internet skills
  • Experience living and working in a residential setting and experience in the outdoor
  • Wilderness First Responder/ CPR Certified
  • Valid driver’s license and MVR that meets SCA standards required
  • Ability to meet SCA’s criminal background check standards
