Calling All Used CDs and Books

Put your used CDs and books to work for the planet!

Those Britney Spears CDs gathering dust in your closet could be transformed into green bucks for SCA, thanks to a new Seattle-based nonprofit called Eco Encore. The organization collects donations of used books, CDs, DVDs and software, leverages their value by selling them online, then directs proceeds from the sales to environmental groups in the Puget Sound region, including SCA’s Northwest Conservation Leadership Corps!

By making a donation to Eco Encore, you do two good things for the environment: you keep a product in use and out of landfills and you make a valuable donation to SCA’s Northwest Conservation Leadership Corps. The CLC is SCA’s only program that is completely philanthropically funded, so its future is in the hands of generous donations from people like you!

To make your tax-deductible donation, please either bring your used media goods to the bin in our office or send them directly to the Eco Encore office at 270 S Hanford Street, Suite 100D, Seattle WA 98134. If you send them, please be sure to designate the items for SCA. You can also support Eco Encore recipients by purchasing books, CDs, videos and DVDs via the Eco Encore Amazon store.
