Reviewing Applications

The Admissions team at SCA recruits and provides qualified applicants for you to review and ultimately hire. Interviewing an Applicant

We advise applicants to view this call as an employment interview. During this conversation, be sure to cover the following points:

Clarify the details of the proposed work assignment including specific job duties. Be sure to mention any changes in the job description that may have occurred since its publication.

  • Discuss the dates of the project and your degree of flexibility with them.
  • Advise candidate of living and working conditions. Please see Intern Arrival
  • Discuss uniform and special clothing requirements.
  • Please be flexible in scheduling the arrival and departure dates of interns to allow them time to complete SCA administrative procedures and to use bus transportation if necessary (with the exception of AK, HI, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands).
  • When a candidate accepts a position, obtain verbal confirmation of his/her acceptance, and be sure you both agree upon the dates and whether a uniform or personal transportation is required. • Start and end dates of the position
  • Whether a uniform grant is requested
  • Whether a vehicle is required for the position
  • Address to which the intern's subsistence allowance check may be sent
