SCA Three Rivers co-sponsored the Fourth Annual MLK Day in the Park celebration with Venture Outdoors. 

The event featured professional artists who demonstrated wood carving, traditional African music and stories, batik, printmaking and mosaics.  In addition wilderness survival shelter building, ice skating, marshmallow roasting, horseback riding demonstrations, Leave No Trace games and presentations on the life and work of Dr. King were also available for those in attendance.

MLK Day in the Park drew over 300 members of the community to the Schenley Park Ice Rink.  In addition, over 50 volunteers from SCA, Venture Outdoors, American Eagel, AmeriCorps and Chatam College pitched in to the make the day a huge success.
