125 Student Volunteers, NPS Director will Participate in Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Event at Fort DuPont Park
National Park Service Director Jonathan B. Jarvis will join 125 Student Conservation Association volunteers to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at an MLK Day of Service event at historic Fort DuPont Park in Washington, D.C., on Monday, January 20th, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

When: Monday, January 20th, 9:30am to 1:00pm
Where: Fort DuPont Park, Washington, DC (3600 F and Minnesota St SE, Washington, DC 20019)
What: Removing invasive species and clearing trash
Bring with you: Please wear long-sleeved shirts and close-toed shoes and bring your own water bottle. SCA will provide snacks, work gloves, and tools.

Fort DuPont Park Activity Center: There is a parking lot located at the visitor’s center off of Fort DuPont Drive. Enter the park from the Randle Circle entrance and drive .3 miles. Turn left into the parking area. An SCA representative will meet you at the main entrance and lead you to registration. Public transportation options are also available.
