Details:
Crews of volunteers will also work to remove invasive species, especially English Ivy, from the surrounding wooded slopes. This vine, while planted in some areas as decoration and ground cover, has rooted itself in these woods and grown up the trunks of several trees in the area and become a problem vine. Crews will cut the vines with saws and loppers to prevent them from spreading further.
