and volunteers responded to the call to get their hands
dirty!
Here’s a brief rundown of just some of the highlights.
- 50 trees planted in Pittsburgh’s Schenley Park
- 108 hours of work logged by volunteers in Oakland, CA
- 75 native trees planted at Milwaukee’s Kohl Park
- 5 yards of blackberry pulled (watch the thorns!) in Seattle
- 20 wheelbarrow and countless tarps of weeds removed in Oakland
- 6 waterbars installed in Seattle
- 4 pick-up loads of sheet-mulch spread in Oakland
- 100 people helped plant native vegetation, paint, restore, and “spruce up” in Boise
