Tune in tomorrow for more from EarthVision

After a jam-packed day of recognition and celebration at the Department of the Interior and service projects in the National Capital Parks, EarthVision continues tomorrow with an entire day of conference tracks, featuring James Hansen on climate change, Larry Selzer on environmental education, and so much more!

In addition to global conservation issues, SCA has assembled authorities on diversity and environmental justice, community organizing, ways to make your own lifestyle greener, and careers in conservation.

We understand that communication and action are two of the best tools we can use to protect our planet. Tomorrow, attendees will meet and speak with the people who have become models for planetary activism: Billy Parish, co-founder of the Energy Action Coalition, who will begin Saturday’s events with a keynote speech to all 500 in attendance, and Simran Sethi, co-host and writer of The Green on the Sundance Channel, will also speak to the youth who have gathered in Washington D.C. to spend a weekend working towards a healthy planet.

SCA has invited the most committed scientists, educators and advocates to be at EarthVision, and while we know that no student will be going home from D.C. without new resolve for change in their schools, towns, and states, we are confident that those youth will have learned the means to begin that change.

Hands On is your source for all EarthVision news! Be sure and check back every day this weekend for new Hands On stories, reporting live from the SCA’s very first youth-in-conservation summit. Wish you were here!
